The Great Wall, born in China as Wanli Changcheng (Great Wall of 10,000 Lǐ), consists of a long series of walls built in today's China. It built from the third century BC (About 215 BC) by Emperor Qin Shi Huang, the same in which clay has the so-called Army Xi'an (the Lǐ is a measure which corresponds to about 500 meters), its length was, until recently, considered of 6350 km with varying heights

In 2009, the measurements obtained with the latest technological equipment (infrared, GPS), the Great Wall is long 8851.8 km, about 2500 km in more than estimated. The latter figure would be refuted by more recent measurements estimated at 21,196.18 kilometers the total length of the Great Wall of China
